
SOROUSH MEHRANI
Founder & Producer
​​Soroush Mehrani is a Persian-Dutch filmmaker with extensive experience in large-scale television production, music videos, documentaries, and creative media projects. With over a decade of expertise in the entertainment industry, Soroush has successfully produced and post-produced numerous high-profile projects, including The Voice Persia, Persia’s Got Talent, MBC Replay, Voices of Change, and several major Nowruz specials for MBC and VOA. His work on The Voice Persia has been widely praised as one of the best Iranian talent shows ever made by critics and industry professionals.
Soroush’s career began in Iran, where he graduated from IRIB Broadcasting School in 2010. Starting as an assistant producer and cameraman, he quickly gained hands-on experience in the industry. He then moved to Malaysia to study Film and Television at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, followed by a degree in Art and Technology at Saxion University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands.
His career is marked by a wide range of creative work. Soroush directed and produced music videos for well-known artists such as Amme for Faarjam and Zahraab, the first Persian-speaking 360-degree music video for Shahin Najafi. Both videos, which critique extreme religious beliefs, generated considerable attention. In addition, Soroush has worked extensively in live concert recordings, social media content, and advertisements, further expanding his skill set in the entertainment industry.
Soroush also has a strong background in documentary filmmaking, with a focus on socially and culturally significant topics. He worked as an editor for Sephora and contributed as a cameraman to Art in Exile and Tabula Rasa, documentaries addressing themes of human rights and identity. His own documentaries, The Holy Screams and XEWN, tackle issues of displacement and cultural resilience. He also worked on television programs such as No U Turn and Straight to the End, featuring interviews with prominent journalists, artists, and activists, including Ruhollah Zam, Shahin Najafi, Masih Alinejad, Ammar Maleki, Arash Sobhani, Soroush Dabbagh, Mohsen Namjoo, and Shadi Amin.

His creative expertise also extends to art installations and the use of technology in art. Notably, he worked as art director and programmer for an installation inspired by Wassily Kandinsky’s spiritual art, exhibited at Twentse Welle Museum in Enschede, the Netherlands.
Throughout his career, Soroush has maintained a deep commitment to storytelling, producing content that resonates across diverse platforms and genres. He continues to push boundaries in the entertainment and creative industries, blending technical precision with an innovative creative vision.
